What Is A BGA Hub?

Exploring the Unique Features and Benefits of BGA's Innovative Hub Concept

At Brave Generation Academy, we believe that effective learning happens through a mix of online and offline experiences. That’s why our mixed-age Hubs—located all over the world—play such a central role in the BGA journey. These physical spaces are where Learners come to study, collaborate, and connect with their peers, supported by dedicated Learning Coaches and Course Managers.

Each Hub is open Monday to Friday, typically from 08:00 to 18:00, and only closes on public holidays. We do not follow a traditional academic holiday structure—there’s no summer shutdown—allowing Learners to continue their studies year-round.

A Comfortable Space to Learn and Grow

Comfort is prioritised in every aspect of Hub design—from carefully chosen furniture to lighting and acoustics. The environment is crafted to encourage focus, creativity, and a sense of belonging.

With between 30–45 Learners per Hub, we maintain a ratio of one Learning Coach for every 15 Learners, ensuring personalised support. As demand grows in a region, new Hubs are opened to keep spaces intimate and community-driven.

Hubs are inclusive and non-hierarchical, welcoming Learners at various stages—from those beginning secondary school to those completing their studies and planning their next steps. Everyone is treated as an equal, recognised for their individuality and potential.

Flexible Schedules, Shared Moments

Autonomy is at the heart of the BGA experience. Learners manage their own schedules, including when to take breaks and have lunch. While routines vary, some Hubs enjoy shared lunch breaks, creating opportunities for communal time, conversation, and even outdoor games.

We recommend Learners spend at least five hours per day at their Hub, though this can vary depending on individual academic needs and goals.

Global Access, Local Connection

One of the most exciting aspects of the Hub model is flexibility. Learners can move between Hubs around the world, provided it's coordinated with their Learning Coach. This mobility encourages cultural exchange, fresh perspectives, and renewed motivation.

Beyond academics, Hubs serve as launchpads into real-world experiences. They connect Learners with local internships, entrepreneurial projects, clubs, sports, environmental initiatives, and more. If a Learner wants to open a door, the Hub will help them find the key!
